The Phoenix Conservatory of Music’s College Prep Program is a music intensive program for grades 4-12.
The perfect student for this program is someone who is really committed to being a better musician, who is interested in being a professional in the music industry, or anyone who wants a musical challenge. Students should be entering 4-12th grade and have been playing their instrument at least one year.
Tuition is $65 a month with a minimum of 3 hours per week of instruction. Financial Aid and Scholarship are available.
FOR NEW STUDENTS
Theory assessments will be available and may be taken before or after your audition. You are not expected to know every answer.
New and Returning Students: Please make sure to bring your most recent report card to your audition and a parent to help you fill out your application. Parents, you can also access your application right here, and have your child take it with them to their audition.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THE AUDITION
Your instrument if portable (PCM has pianos, amps, and drums available for student use), one to two prepared pieces (does not have to be long or advanced), your most recent report card, your application form, and any questions you may have. Guitarists please bring an instrument cable.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE AUDITION?: Your student will be placed in a PULSE theory class and Ensemble based on knowledge, skill, and instrumentation. Rehearsals may happen during the week or on Saturday. Schedules will be determined by the number of students auditioning, and the levels and instrument types that are present.
