In-Person Private Lessons

Are you ready to introduce yourself or your child to a lifelong love of music? At Phoenix Conservatory of Music (PCM), students in our community get more than just music lessons!

We offer fun introductory Group Classes, personalized private lessons for all levels, and a unique and immersive College Prep Program that we hope can help you become the best musician you can be. Whether you are looking to nurture your child’s interest in music, become a musician yourself, or just have fun learning something new, we are here to make sure that your needs are met!

Starting March 2020,  virtual or online (remote learning) private music lessons and classes are now available!

Are you or your student interested in a deeper music learning experience that’s tailored to your interests and needs? Students who are part of our community enjoy fun, personalized lessons that will not only teach them music theory, sight reading, and other necessary musicianship skills, but will also keep them challenged and engaged in the material that they are learning! With a variety of professional, experienced teaching artists for you to choose from, our lessons work around your schedule. Anyone can take lessons at PCM and find something to learn that inspires them and encourages them to grow, whether it’s a five-year-old learning to play Baby Shark, a fourteen-year-old playing along with Billie Eilish, or an adult studying the piano works of Rachmaninoff! No matter your level or genre of interest, we hope to help you find a lesson that rocks just like you!

We have fantastic music lessons in piano, guitar (both electric and acoustic), voice/singing, violin, viola, cello, drum kit, snare drum, bass guitar, upright (double) bass, ukulele, flute, saxophone, trumpet, music theory, songwriting, composition, and audio production with Logic Pro X, Reason or Studio One.

Recital and performance opportunities offered throughout the year.

What’s next?

  • Once you register, a PCM representative will reach out to you via email or phone to discuss the age of the student, how they learn best, what the learning goals are and what the student’s availability is.
  • PCM will then get to work on matching you with a music mentor (teaching artist) who can help you accomplish your goals. Because of the care taken with placement, it may take up to 10 days to find and schedule the best private lesson instructor within the student’s availability and needs.

All lessons are paid on a monthly basis for each instrument and student. Financial Aid available for students in need.

Private Lesson Policy Main Points
  • Lesson fees are due before the first lesson of each month.
  • Automatic payments are available and students not enrolled in automatic payments are assessed a $5.00 monthly fee.
  • Missed lessons and/or make-up lessons may not be used as credit for new lesson charges.
  • Any absences, vacation notices, or schedule change requests must be made to the front desk, not only your private lesson instructor.
  • In order to attend a makeup studio class, you must notify the PCM front desk and your private lesson instructor at least 24-hours in advance.
  • If you miss more than three lessons due to no-shows or late call-ins, your lesson time will be released to use for other students and you will need to reschedule a new time with the front desk and your private lesson instructor.
