Early Childhood Music Programs

Early Childhood Family Learning Models (for students 8 months old through Pre-Kindergarten and their families) is an out-of-school-time music and movement program that takes place once per week per family and will target 240 registrants yearly.  It is targeted at low-income families and is based on two curricular models:

  • WeBop
  • Parent/Tot Music Time-  Parent Tot Music Time for children 8 months through Pre-K and their primary caregiver.

It is an experience focusing on developing Pre-Kindergarten readiness skills, especially accelerated early childhood literacy and basic music and movement competency, through music and movement activities.   Phoenix Conservatory of Music’s Early Childhood programs are a fun, social, play-based way to build music competency in young children through music learning games, music and movement activities, musical stories, music technology, direct instruction on classroom instruments, singing, and piano.

Students will have the opportunity to create, collaborate, and communicate through the power of music! As they learn music, they will be developing “extra” vitamins like small and gross motor skills, awareness of rhyming words, sight words, symbol and sound relationships, numeracy, letter recognition, patterning, sequencing, and more!
