Learning Through Music

The Learning Through Music program is for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. It provides low/no-cost, high-quality out-of-school learning experiences integrated with specific community collaborations that respond to children’s critical needs.  

The Learning Through Music program is centered around music learning experiences, which bring families and young students together while providing them with equitable access to food support through dinner service five nights per week.

Programming provides quality childcare through engaging programs that provide education focusing on creativity, collaboration, community, music, physical movement, and mental health care with arts-integrated social and emotional learning and family/student access to community resources through collaborative partnership.

The Learning Through Music (Kindergarten through Grade 2) is an out-of-school-time music and movement program one day per week.  Families will pick a day of the week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) to attend.  The program will serve 108 students per academic school year.  It provides whole child education with Music FUNdamentals, Music/Movement, Social/Emotional Learning, tutoring, food support through dinner five days per week, and pathways to behavioral health resources for students and families.

The program’s tuition is $70 per month, but financial aid and scholarships are available for families in need.
 
Registration will open on August 1, 2024. Programs will start on September 03, 2024, and run through May 08, 2025.

The Learning Through Music Program is a program where the student signs up for one session either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday for 30 weeks throughout the school year. The program will start with a 3:45 pm drop-off, 4:00 class 1, 4:30 class 2, 5:00 class 3, and 5:30-6:00 dinner and tutoring.

Learning Through Music for Grades K-2

The lucky student who enrolls in this program will pick a day of the week, Tuesday through Thursday, to come to PCM between 3:45 and 4:00p.  Starting at 4:00 p.m., they will receive a 30-minute music FUNdamentals class, a 30-minute SEL class, and a 30-minute music and movement class. 

Students will receive homework help and free dinner before the 6:00 p.m. program ends.  Register online by choosing the one day of the week your student will attend and follow the prompts in the registration process.
