Phoenix Conservatory of Music Presents “Jam and Jazz”: A Celebration of Student Talent and Community Impact

Phoenix, AZ – [April 02, 2025] – The Phoenix Conservatory of Music (PCM) is proud to present its annual Jam and Jazz celebration—an inspiring, music-filled morning showcasing the extraordinary talents of PCM’s students and teaching artists while highlighting the powerful role of music education in transforming lives.

Taking place at PCM’s campus on Tuesday, April 08, 2025, this event brings together community leaders, educators, families, and supporters to experience firsthand the impact of high-quality, accessible music education. Guests will enjoy an uplifting program featuring performances by PCM’s Teaching Artist Jazz Ensemble, the PVCC Jazz Ensemble @ PCM, and the PCM Jazz Fusion Ensemble, alongside remarkable solo and small group student performances by college prep students nominated for national summer intensives and honors.

“Jam and Jazz is a celebration of our mission in action,” says Regina Nixon, Executive Director of the Phoenix Conservatory of Music. “It’s an opportunity to witness our students’ hard work, hear their stories, and feel the community that makes it all possible.”

The event will include student-led presentations, video highlights, and an exciting preview of PCM’s future. Guests will also enjoy a catered breakfast as they network and connect with the people behind PCM’s mission to express, transform, and inspire through music.

This year’s honorees include a diverse array of student performers representing the next generation of music makers and industry leaders, many of whom are preparing for collegiate music studies and careers in the arts. With over 13,000 instructional hours provided in the 2023–2024 year and nearly 2,000 students served, PCM continues to be a critical force in addressing educational equity through a multi-layered approach that includes group classes, private lessons, industry studies, and wraparound support services.

Thanks to the support of generous sponsors,PCM is able to sustain programs that give students the opportunity to pursue their musical dreams—regardless of financial circumstance. In 2023–24, 77% of students received tuition assistance, underscoring PCM’s commitment to ensuring every child has access to quality music education.  Jam and Jazz is a reflection of PCM’s journey, its growing impact, and it’s deep gratitude to the volunteers, parents, and community members who help students crescendo into the future.
