PCM’s Jam & Jazz 2026 Nears Capacity as Valley Leaders, Families, Alumni, and Arts Advocates Rally for Youth Music Education

Annual fundraising breakfast has fewer than 30 seats remaining and will spotlight the broad, diverse community investing in the future of Phoenix students

PHOENIX, AZ — April 3, 2026 — Phoenix Conservatory of Music (PCM) announces that its annual Jam & Jazz Fundraising Breakfast is nearly at capacity, with fewer than 30 seats remaining for the Tuesday, April 7, 2026 event at Phoenix Country Club.

Held under the theme “Because of Music, Because of You,” Jam & Jazz 2026 will bring together a vibrant cross-section of the Valley, including business and civic leaders, educators, families, artists, alumni, philanthropists, and community champions, for a powerful morning celebrating the life-changing impact of accessible music education.

For more than 25 years, Phoenix Conservatory of Music has been unleashing the power of music by providing high-quality music education and experiences to students and families across the Greater Phoenix area. Each year, PCM serves nearly 2,000 students through community classes, ensembles, private lessons, after-school programs, and its nationally recognized College Preparatory Program in partnership with the Berklee College of Music City Music Network.

The morning will begin with networking and live music from 7:45–8:30 a.m., followed by breakfast and a program from 8:30–9:45 a.m. Guests will experience performances by PCM students and alumni, hear inspiring stories of growth and possibility, and celebrate the community partners and sponsors who help make this work possible.

“Jam & Jazz is more than a fundraiser. It is a reflection of the many people, perspectives, and communities that come together when we invest in young people through music,” said Regina Nixon, Executive Director of Phoenix Conservatory of Music. “With fewer than 30 seats left, this year’s response shows that Phoenix believes in opportunity, creativity, and access. Our students are not only becoming musicians. They are becoming leaders, innovators, and confident young people with bright futures.”

This year’s event will feature special guest artist and PCM alumnus Lourde Childs, who will speak and perform during the program. Childs, a proud PCM ambassador and advocate, will graduate from Berklee College of Music in Spring 2026. His return to the Jam & Jazz stage reflects the long-term impact of donor investment in young artists and creative youth development.  (https://www.lourdechilds.com/)

Phoenix Conservatory of Music provides a continuum of music education opportunities, from early childhood classes to advanced training for high school musicians preparing for college, careers, and creative lives. Each year, PCM provides:

  • More than 2,000 no-cost music lessons for students in need
  • Over 3,600 private lessons at reduced fees
  • Ensemble and performance opportunities that foster creativity and collaboration
  • Music technology and audio production programs that prepare students for 21st-century careers

The impact is clear. PCM College Prep students achieve a 100% high school graduation rate and an 85% college enrollment rate. Since 2015, students in the program have earned more than $5.5 million in college scholarships.

Funds raised through Jam & Jazz support scholarships, community programs, and expanded access to music education for students throughout the Valley, particularly for youth who might not otherwise have access to high-quality arts education.

This year’s event is made possible through the support of community-minded sponsors and supporters, including Jaburg Wilk, Sweetwater, Arizona Public Service, Scottsdale Community Bank, Desert Financial Credit Union, Gloria Vasquez, Bill and Linda Langer, David Clower, Rusty Foley, and Progress Media Productions

Jaburg Wilk, a leading Phoenix-based law firm with a long history of community investment, is sponsoring Jam & Jazz 2026 as part of its ongoing commitment to arts education and youth development across the Valley. The firm’s support is also reflected in the leadership of Neal Bookspan, Jaburg Wilk shareholder and active PCM board member, whose service helps advance PCM’s mission through both professional expertise and personal dedication.

Sweetwater is the nation’s leading online retailer for music makers, and is trusted by millions of musicians, sound engineers, orchestra directors, and podcasters who rely on the company to help advance their musical and creative journeys. (https://www.sweetwater.com/)

We are proud to support the Phoenix Conservatory of Music. Like Sweetwater, PCM believes that access to a high-quality music education can be a critical building block for lifelong success,” said Jeff Ostermann, Sweetwater’s chief people and culture officer. “The scholarships funded through this event will help create meaningful, generational change within this community.

“Events like Jam & Jazz remind us that a strong community is built when young people have access to opportunity, mentorship, and a place to belong,” Nixon added. “We are deeply grateful to every sponsor, donor, table host, family member, and guest helping us ensure that a student’s zip code never determines their access to world-class music education.”

The event will also highlight Arizona’s Charitable Tax Credit, which allows donors to redirect state tax dollars to support qualified charitable organizations like Phoenix Conservatory of Music.

With fewer than 30 seats left, community members interested in attending or supporting the event are encouraged to register as soon as possible at:
