For more than 25 years, we’ve trained over 20,000 young people, helping them discover their creativity, confidence, and voice. Our vision is to be a leader in music education and Creative Youth Development, focusing on popular and commercial music while building strong community connections that nurture every learner—from preschoolers discovering rhythm to alumni leading in the music industry.
Four Pillars for the Future
Program Expansion
We’re strengthening and scaling high-quality, research-based music programs—from early childhood to college and career. PCM is developing one of the nation’s most comprehensive pre-college music industry programs, preparing students for success in performance, production, and beyond.
Organizational Capacity
We’re investing in our people—our faculty, teaching artists, and staff—through market-based pay, professional development, and technology upgrades that strengthen our foundation and sustain excellence.
Community Engagement
We’re deepening partnerships and expanding outreach to reach more young musicians, particularly in underserved communities. Our holistic approach includes scholarships, mentoring, and partnering for behavioral health support, and even meal programs.
Financial Sustainability
We’re diversifying revenue streams and seeding a fund to support students for years to come.
This plan represents a $2.1 million investment in PCM’s future—$1.2 million has already been secured, and we’re inviting the community to help raise the remaining $900,000. PCM is poised for lasting impact.
Research shows that students with access to quality arts education perform better academically and are more likely to graduate. In Arizona, only 38% of high school students have access to music education.
PCM is changing that statistic by removing barriers—offering scholarships, instruments, meals, mentoring, and holistic youth development programs that build both skill and character.
